El Penedès and Torrelavit
Hills, small Holm oak and pine woods; the hand of man is present in the form of dry stone walls and huts, but most of all in the vineyards. El Penedès is a sea of grapevines interspersed with almond, carob and olive trees. Country houses and wine cellars testify to the importance of vineyards and wine for this land.
A landscape which changes with the passing of the seasons, which is never the same and which always surprises you. Something to give you goose bumps, with views to enjoy, as well as the aroma and, of course, the tastes of fine wine.
El Penedès is very much a dryland area and so water passes nearly unperceived. Still, the rivers have been crucial in configuring the landscape.
